Chinese Curry Please Help
Please please please can anyone tell me where I can get proper chinese curry from in brisbane or the gold coast.
Ive looked everywhere, even taken recipies from the internet and tried to make my own but I can never seem to get anything that taste the same as english take away curry.
I cant beleive ive been in auz for 16 months and the only thing I miss from the Uk is a good Mixed Meat Curry :curse:

Have you tried the Satay Hut on South Bank? We went there on our last night in Brisbane, food was to die for.

Try a Japanese curry, down here in Melbourne I've found that it's the same sauce as the UK chinese curry. The actual chinese curries here tend to have a watery, bland sauce.

The only spicey Chinese food I ate was Sichuan style. Are you referring to a British Chinese curry stylie?

At least its meat. I had one take away from the local chinese here and i was eating what i thought was a chewy piece of chicken but the more I chewed the stranger the texture became. When I took it out of my mouth I realised id been chewing a band aid, it was still in the shape of someones fingure. god I still feel sick thinking about it. But it hasn`t detered me my quest for good curry will go on

Agh yes, the infamous Brit Chinease curry. I've hankered after it it often on a Friday night here!!!!
Anyone know any good Chinease curry places in Melbourne? I don't want Vietnamese,Thai,Malaysian or Indian - just a plain old Brit style chinease curry!
Anyone??

I"ve traveled all over, and only found them in the UK. Originally thought it was a Cantonese thing, so would find one in Hong Kong but didn't. Have to agree that a Japanese one would be close.
When ever I'm back, Chinese curry and chips!... yum!
