Default Childrens Medical Records

I know this has been on a few times, however here it is again.

We have tried and failed to get any records/notes/print outs etc from our doctors. They (the Doctor) says all we need are the Yellow books, Childs health record.

We find it hard to believe, but are they right??

Any one else turned up at medicare center or school with the Yellow book??

Cheers

Not sure if your GP is right but mine gave me a nice print out immeidately that was simply amazing! No charge. I believe that under the Data Protection Act (1977 I think) he has no choice but to give you any information he has about you and your family. Maybe he is not computerised and simply being lazy!
My GP is in London.
Probably little help for you.
Maybe contact the local Area Health Board as they should also have a copy of your records and may honour the law more than your GP. Worst case, get them to write to your GP.

None of the Doctors we have been to have ever wanted to see any previous records.

All the school wants to see is the vacination record, confirmed as being up to Australian requirements.
