Hi Sarah,
Not in Oz yet and have no children but when I was doing research in preparation for applying for NOOSR etc I came across loads of school info. On the Queensland site I found copies of all their policies, including one for pupils with ADD/ADHD. This in itself leads me to believe that children with ADHD are well cared for and educated. I hope this helps.

I did actually get your PM - I was just trying to find out if anyone had first hand experience of ADHD in schools in the Melbourne area. when we were there for holiday in December and I mentioned it to friends of my SIL, they seemed to accept it alot more readily and it gave me the feeling that it is generally alot more accepted than here in the UK. So I was just trying to get a feel for the general feeling over there, if that makes sense
I still believe that life over there will still be better for Jordan, although I am under no illusion that we will have our moments (you know what I mean!). He is looking forward to going, but also very apprehensive. We just want what is best for the children. Jess, our eldest, has been to five different schools (and she is in year 7!) because we moved around alot in the early years of our marriage, so getting her into a secure environment is imperative as well and with Jordan having ADHD we seriously need to find the school that is going to cope with his lack of attention and occasional outburst. It is causing grey hairs I can tell you.
Thanks for the info though.
