Wink Child Friendly Appts in Melbourne

Can anyone recommend a good hotel or appt complex that is child friendly in the centre of Melbourne for when we get there in August. We intend to spend a few days in the centre and do some touristy things with the girls for a couple of days before we have to do the "boring" stuff!!! Any recommendations greatly received.

Hi there,
Don't know if this is of any help to you, but when we stayed in Melbourne last July/August we stayed at a Comfort Inn in Essendon which is about 20 mins drive from the centre of Melbourne and about 15 mins drive from the airport. It was nothing fancy but it was very clean and comfortable and cost us £75 per night room only. There were 5 of us in the one large room - 2 adults and 3 kids (15, 14 and 12), so there were 3 single beds and a double, TV, kitchenette (with kettle, toaster, fridge) and shower room. There was also a laundry and restaurant. As I said, not exactly the Ritz but very friendly!
The web address is www.essendonmotorinn.com.au
Good luck!
Julie

Hi Lorraine,

We stayed in www.questapartments.com.au

There are plenty to choose from and also some right in the heart of the city, so attractions for the kids are in walking distance.

Good luck
