Question Child care (at carers home) Sydney

Just wondering if Australia has a similar type of child care as in the UK where the care provided is at the child minders home? Just thinking of cheaper options for child care.

Hello

I would be very interested in what replys you get for this question, as I am a registered childminder in the UK, but my skills are not on the SOL list! I have to re-train before I can re-apply to come to australia!!

Good luck for your search for a good childminder!

Family day care is similar to UK childmining.

http://www.nswfamilydaycare.com.au/

I dont fancy your chances of getting anything quickly. I put my son down 6 months ago and so far have only been offered a 1 day place. Family day care is very popular and there are not enough providers.

The following link will help with all forms of day care.

http://www.careforkids.com.au/search...=&ut=4&ctype=2

Hope that helps.
