Just saw that and thought of you. Its bloody crazy, its light now at 5 am, soon that will be 4 am, at least SE qld should get it.

Not looking forward to summer its already 30 odd early spring, wonder if the typical summers we didnt get the last 2 years will return in full force. Maybe the heats playing havoc with my flu, didnt get it all winter now trying to breath in stuffy 32 air. Sweat shuffle moan grrrrr.

Aside from all the mocking about daylight savings, I do really understand why it would not be a good idea for anyone else other than those who lived in Brisbane. Would dual zoning work for the state ? I dont see that really.

I dont mind the early light and a very early start in the day. Perfer that and to knock off for the arvo and enjoy the heat from the pool with beer in hand.

But for those of us that can't get home before 6, we have no afternoon to enjoy - we are stuck in the office. Liberated at 5.30, home at 6, dark at 6.05. Fabulous.
I don't think it's just a Brisbane issue, Jad n Rich are a fair way up from here - the Sunshine Coast at least has the same issue.
And if I knew which idiot it was on TV when the Bloke just turned it on, who said it's a victory for common sense...........

Fiddlesticks to the chickens, I just want to see my garden in daylight - other than the 10 minutes before we leave for work at 7.15!!

Exactly!

I doubt whether many of those banjo players out in the regions can spell 'office' let alone understand the meaning of office hours.

It's all well and good them saying get up earlier and finish work earlier but in addition to the above, I'm not too comfortable with the thought of dropping my kids off at school at 6.30am!!!

Nope, still doesn't make any sense to me

Noosa downwards should get it IMO. Hubby is about to change jobs and will be starting at 6:30 which will mean leaving the house at 5. Good job he's an early riser

And if you look at the map on some of those plates it also shows areas other than Greater Brisbane.

What? You mean there is life outside the cafe-dwelling latte-mocha-chocha lifestyle merchants?

Whodathunkit?

Shocking! As one Banjo playing redneck to another, how do ya fancy learning "dueling Banjo's"? We could get to together for a jam session, just as soon as they remove my second head

Good move Anna..... It is better for our quality of life anyway.... I figured we could enjoy the nice weather and sunlight in the morning instead, I figure during summer we could all have people around for BBQ's at 5am instead of the evening, take my kids to the park and play at 5:30am instead of after work, unwind after a hard nights sleep with a walk in the nice sunny morning instead of unwinding after a hard days work in the evening. You are right I think the rest of the world is mad for wanting day light saving!!! Who wants to enjoy the nice weather in QLD, I prefer to just sleep through it and come home after work in the dark anyway!!!
