We lived on the border of Nottm/Derbyshire and used Atlantic shipping, who are based in Leicester - can't fault them and they were the cheapest by far.

Hi we are from Derbyshire we used PSS, everything arrived fine well apart from a broken glass and broken foot off the dryer but the removal men at this end had done that.

we had our quote a year before we used them due to mucking about with house sale etc but they honoured the quote they need a few weeks notice for the actual booking

You could always try Atlantic International Movers www.atlanticinternationalmovers.com they are one of the very few international specialist movers in the Midlands and have had rave reports on other forums.

We left from Derby and used Whites who are based in Birmingham. We got the quote and booked about 6 months before I think. The guys that came were good and we felt a bit redundant really! A couple of glass items were broken when we got them but because it had all gone through customs ( and it had definitely been sifted through cos our packaging wasn't on it when it arrived ) it's hard to prove who caused the breakages. Also, we had a 20ft container to ourselves (for our own piece of mind) which a big fuss was made about witnessing the numbered seal onto when it was closed up but it's worth buggery squat when the stuff arrived at the house in a lorry where the seal was broken by customs and the stuff unloaded without us being there at all!! What was the point in that?? Sorry, rant over.
Good luck!
Lol

You put a lot of trust in these companies I will just have to keep my fingers crossed that it will not happen to me.
