And no amount of trying to keep it here would work for me or my daughter. Never mind, we've had a good time.

Good luck to you Janey, at least you gave it a shot. Theres certainly no disgrace in moving back.

ahhh, thank you. Hubby is a bit scared due to house prices being as they are but looking forward to Euro 2004 that starts two days after we get back !!!!
He's looking forward to spendng time with his friends again and I can't wait to go see my horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippeeee

Stopping at my parents house will be 'unusual' but they have a large home so we won't be sardines!!!

Will have some good stories to share with friends

Conversely, rental prices are very competitive right now, another sign of too much supply from the buy-to-letters and indicative of the over-blown mkt. (Terrible yields, typically nothing-4%.)

Good if you're renting, which is probably the best idea for the next couple of years IMO to avoid losing capital value.

Don't go rent in Cambridge then - our recent rental property returns were 7% - quite typical for the area, too.... There's been no depression of rental returns to speak of for years in some areas.

Now London's Docklands - that's a very diffent matter (fortunately I resisted the urge to invest in new off-plans there).
