"With return fares starting from $292.24 (including taxes and charges), travelling between Singapore and Perth has never been as affordable.
“Seats are now on sale, so passengers should book early at http://www.tigerairways.com to enjoy the fantastic low fares.”
Tiger Airways will use 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

I was looking at that this morning definitely some good deals there, you could get to Phuket for around $200each way, thats easily under half what you'd normally pay.
The only negatives ive found seem to be 15kgs luggage allowance and flight times into Singapore arent the best arriving at something like 3am.

This is bloody fantastic news. Well done for posting this.
The cost of getting to SE Asia has been a major push factor for us leaving Perth - this makes things a lot better.
Ever the pessimist - I'm now waiting for a deal to be done with Qantas or teh takeover of Tiger Airways by Qantas or something else which makes things collapse. Didn't something similar happen with Valuair?

It would be interesting to investigate the cost of a flight from Singapore to Europe and see how that compares when coupled with the Tiger flights in relation to going the whole way with the main carriers.

I'll be amazed if Qantas or the Australian govt allows people to fly to SE Asia for $400 return and then pick up a flight from there to London for as low as $800 (on offer with Malaysian Airlines from Brunei about 3 months ago).
A nice stopover in SE Asia and a total return price of $1200 - sounds far too good to be true!
