charity donation

In UK we can give to charity under gift aid allowing the charity to claim from IR tax paid by the donor, and if the donor is a 40% tax payer the donor can claim tax relief on the payment made.

Does anything similar happen under the Australian tax regulations?

Re: charity donation

Here any taxpayer can claim tax relief on a donation of $2 and over. Gets declared on the tax form at the end of the year.
