Any major implications (read like gobbledegook to me). Translation of key issues would be welcome....

There's nothing in the changes that's relevant to most on this newsgroup ... simply posted for reference.

Best regards.

Alan
Seems very low-key this time around with a number of things
conspicuous by their absence. Like two in particular, which many
thought (at least up to a few months ago) were on the way.

- increasing the time a student needs in Australia to apply for
onshore PR to 2 years (which I thought they were thinking of doing)
- a new initiative to encourage skilled independent migrants to go for
regional schemes.

I'm intrigued by this new subclass 462 (Work & Holiday) visa. Does
anyone know what this is for and how it's going to sit alongside with
the Working Holiday Visa?

Regards
Jeremy
