Default Certified Photocopy of Ex Husbands Passport

Just a note to any those of you are going through the process of having to get an ex husband to sign a Statutory Declaration to allow you child out of the country, DIMIA are asking for a photocopy of their passport certified by a solicitor. Which unfortunately was oversight from my agency to ask me to get this.

I have since talk to my ex who says I have done my bit by coming up why wasn't I informed at the time (quite rightly so) and no I am not doing anymore. So basically I have to go back to the drawing board which is so annoying I should have been informed at the time.

Did anybody else have to get this please?

Kind regards

Debbie

Even if DIMA don't accept his "declaration" without passport details, a court may well do so. Discuss with family law solicitor and take from there.
