Question ceramic tiler info needed

hi all,

looking for info on tilers,i was wandering what the best option would be for this situation.......a ceramic tiler aged 31 with 4 years exp. in uk working self employed, no certificates only experience.

Wanting to move to aus but confused on visas, would he be eligable for 4 year temp visa? and would he have enough exp. and points for permanent skilled visa?

any advice would be grateful.

Hi

This is an extract from Tra - "Applicants who have not successfully completed formal training must have had not less than six years work experience or seven years for electrical trades"

The bright side is that you are only 31 - so try again in 2 years (but must be continuous work as a tiler for 6 years). Then the fun starts because you will have to put together stat decs etc to prove your level of on the job training.
