Default Centre Parks/Oasis - Cumbria

The ManxFamily are heading to Cumbria next Thursday (25th) for a weeks holiday at Centre Parks/Oasis just outside Penrith.

This is probably our last holiday before we leave for Oz next year, so once we return its the big countdown!!!

We’ve never been before so if anyone else has and wants to comment, please do.

I wonder if anyone else on here is planning to be there in the same week, maybe we could arrange a BE meetup!

Never been ourselves but was thinking of taking our two kids there next May. Tried Tripadvisor for info but wasn't much around. Interested to hear views.

Cheers

Spooky!!

We will be there from Friday for the weekend! Can't believe how much "extra" you have to pay for everything. Having done a few trips to Butlins with the kids, I can't get to grips with having to pay for the evening entertainment!

Have you got far to travel? We've got four hours in the car with three kids!!! :scared:

Keep in touch - perhaps we can meet for a drink.

Hi,

We'd have to travel from the East Coast of Scotland down with a 4 and 7 year old. ARGHHHH. Nah they're not too bad on journeys.

Enjoy yourselves and tell us all on your return.

Cheers

You'll love it if you have kids and so will they we go every year twice and once we have paid for the holiday we really dont spend that much (our one year old and three year old have a ball). The pool area is fab and so are the takeaway pizzas. Enjoy yourselves, relax and have a drink for us

Only a 3 hour ferry trip to Heysham then an overnight stay there, up the road the next day. Then coming back, a drive down the Motorway to Liverpool followed by another sea crossing!

With 3 kids and another family who have 2 kids !!!! :scared: :scared:

Should be good while we’re there though.

We used to go to Centerparcs in Thetford and Sherwood Forest - we love it. The irony is next August, when we go back to the UK for a few weeks is that we may well go to centerparcs again!

Heard Oasis in Cumbria is a bit plebby though.

We did it (with a stop over) in Jan this year and survived! Somehow the "are we there yet's" are worse in the car.

Never mind, one and it's all forgotten.

We went for christmas twice, and it was fantastic!! Sitting in the jacuzzi on christmas day, with that after lunch glow, in the snow!!

Obviously different time of year! You'll have a great time, perfect to relax and forget all those emigrating stresses. The kids love it, take bikes if you can, some lodges are quite a walk from the centre. Can be bit expensive if you do a lot of the extras though.

Have a great time.
