Re: Central Coat Meet-Up?
We were meant to have gone off to the Anzac Day Gosford Gold Cup race meeting today - that was called off around 7.30 this morning - not surprising after last night's deluge on top of Monday/Tuesday
They reckon Gosford has had approx 140mm in that time - but less than a quarter of that at Mangrove Dam !

Re: Central Coat Meet-Up?
You might remember us from the Meet-up - we are the folks from Devon who have just come over to join our son, daughter-in-law and new baby grandson Jack - in Charlestown. Hope to meet you all at the next meet up. Maybe we could arrange something around the Toronto/Warners Bay area for those of us who live in this direction??
Best wishes - Linda & Keith

Re: Central Coat Meet-Up?
Hey guys!
Thanks for all your congrats! Maya Isobel Boyd was born last Thurs at 20.54 hours. I managed to fight off an induction and went into spontaneous labour on the Wednesday but didn't progress so had a drip to get things going about 4pm Thurs but then about 8pm Maya got distressed. Then it was a rush to theatre where Maya was born crying loudly (apgar score = 9). She was absolutely OK except for a clicky hip so has to wear a little harness for a couple of months to stop it dislocating. Maya not bothered by this at all and is a very contented baby which most Calmbirth babies are they say (I did the breathing throughout and especially when I got scared) so we are lucky. She is absolutely gorgeous and we are both head over heels in love with her.
Sorry Steve did not write but he hasn't a log in and hasn't a clue about expats as never gets on and I've been a little busy! Will definitely be up for a meet and can't wait to show her off. Thanks to Jo for letting you all know and she wasn't far out with the name!!!
Take care guys,
Love Jo, Steve & Maya xxxxxx

Re: Central Coat Meet-Up?
Hello to all on the Central Coast - we have arrived!!
The last few weeks have been hectic, from sitting around for months and months to arriving, meeting all the Rellies, house sitting to hunting for houses to rent and buy and finally renting a furnished house on Terrigal Drive for 3 months, moving in and carrying on house hunting!! Sorting out driving licences, Medicaire, bought a 2 year old Subaru Forester - which by the way I am delighted with. Getting gas, electricity and telephones connected and yesterday finally getting my internet connection. I am online
Has'nt the weather been great as well? Have discovered how rugged it is around here!! Steep drives and pathways, triple level stairways etc. Blimey were are going to get fit at this rate! Seeing as how we lived in East Anglia - Cambridge for a long time its certainly different. Hope to meet you all soon and pump you for local info!! Our Rellies are visiting this w/e to suss it out!We have only been here a week, trying to slow down and take a step back to evaluate all the info etc we have absorbed!! Bye for now Derek and Ann
