Central Casting - a bit of Holiday Fun
I've only recently dipped into this group, and it is very entertaining. There is a lot of tongue in cheek baiting going on, some starry eyed dreaming, some plain bitterness and (perhaps) a hint of desperation in some posts, all padded out by some contributions that retain a reasonable grip on reality.
The optimists v the pessimists might be putting things too simply, but there are all the makings for a hollywood blockbuster along the lines of Lord of the Rings. Will the True Believers triumph against the forces of darkness? From my limited knowledge of the group there appears to be only one candidate for Lord Sauron, prince of Darkness (PB). I would nominate Alan Collett as Gandalf, the wise good wizard. Any suggestions for other characters?
