Hi All,

Please excuse my ignorance, but what does 'CBD' stand for, when talking about city names, ie Brisbane CBD, Sydney CBD..

Slight exaggeration:p Any area in the middle of a lot of houses that has at least one or two shops seems to be called the CBD - I guess it doesn't hurt anyone ;)

But that is a city centre here...The hamlet that The Bloke comes from has 3 pubs, an excuse for a newsagent and a Post office, but I've heard it called the CBD......;)
