In case you wanted to know - WE GOT OURS TODAY
Yes folks,
We have today joined the ranks of the visa holders
Ok only a 410 retirement one but getting it has made us feel we are getting closer and closer to the magic of living in Perth ....not to mention making us feel the long awaited retirement day is getting closer, well, only 10 months and we will be there again, but permanently next time

I am sure the time will fly by and before you know it you will be tearing your hair out just wondering how you will get everything done in time before your one-way flight!

Yes, not too many 410s now and all coming to an end Nov 1st or so we are lead to believe( unless a change of government stops them doing away with it altogether
that is why we have applied and got it early

but we have lived in the same house for 28 years - raised 4 children in it and you dont do that without accummulating at least a couple of skips worth of rubbish :scared: But we have halved it in the last 2 weeks so we can decorate and repair the house etc - goes on the market in Feb 05 etc etc
However I do expect the time scale to accelerate into a mad rush just before we go - judging by all the others on here who have gone before

I understand TOTALLY!!!
In January my FIL passed away and we moved back into my Husbands family home. 35 years they have owned this house. The loft.... :scared: The garage.... :scared:
We have only had about 3 months in total to move into this house and sort through it all and now on the final leg of selling EVERYTHING!!
My Husband is finding it difficult...but he is such a trooper.
