We are thinking of sending my husbands vwt4 van and my mitsubhishi shogun over to melbourne, has anybody else sent theirs over and if so how much did it cost and who did u go with?

Once you've worked out the costs and discovered how expensive it is to ship and pay any duty, take the following into consideration too -

- your cars will need to be modified at your cost to meet Victorian standards. eg changing mph to kph, adding child seat anchor points
- your cars will cost more to insure than the equivalents here as they will be grey imports which some insurers will not insure at all
- your cars will have lower resale value here as they will be grey imports.

All that said, my only regret moving here was that I didn't bring my Jaguar X-type, no matter what the cost.
