Default car rental companies

Hello, we're looking to hire another car for approx 7days...does anyone have any recommendations? or should we just go with Avis?

Pretty sure I have wrote this in two other car rental threads but oh well...I use Hertz they have always been very reliable and I have never had a problem, they have many offices in airports and also in city centers making pickup and drop off easy. I even used to use them in the UK as well

So they get my recomendation

I found Bayswater Car Rental (aka No Birds) very good myself
They only operate in Sydney and Perth though.

Car rental here is really cheap (compared to the rip off merchants in ireland). Rented a car out with hertz for a weekend and it cost me 67 yoyos. thats for nothing.

one thing that bothers me about car rental companies (and this would be worldwide. Every car i have ever rented has had scratches on it. Thats not the problem as scratches happen. But, if i scratch it, I have to pay for the repair along with the cost of the car being off the road whilst being fixed...... but they dont fix them. They MIGHT fix them when they are selling them on again but its not off the road for them to be losing money on them. Anyway, rant over.

I hired one from europcar. I rang all of them and they were cheapest by quite a bit. No mileage limit either, I clocked up about 5000km in two weeks so it was a good deal.
