Car rental - Brisbane airport or Maroochydore?

Car rental - Brisbane airport or Maroochydore?
Hi
We will need a car for a week or 2 in October. Is it best to hire from the airport or from Maroochydore. (no idea how we would get from the airport to Maroochydore though)
Ideally we need a decent size car when we arrive (3 bloody big suitcases) then a smaller one once we drop off the cases.
Also, is it easy buying a car (and getting a good deal)? I don't want to be paying car rental for too long
Any recomendations for car hire or car dealers (Toyota) would be appreciated

2. Hire At Brisbane, buy car on Sunshine Coast and familiarise yourselves with the Bruce Highway and returen rental to Brisbane.
3. Hire at Brisbane, drive back to BrisVegas, buy a car and return rental.
