Question car insurance in UK for a short time

renewal on car insurance is due soon, however if all goes to plan we should be off in Feb, thus only needing 3mths cover.

I am sure no one insures just for 3 mths (correct me if I am wrong), so would be looking for somewhere that allows refunds on unused cover & does not charge through the nose admin fees to do so.

Any tips?

thanks

take out insurance with someone that lets you pay monthly by DD. When you don't need the insurance any more, cancel the DD.
No worry about refunds or anything.

We did this when The Bloke visited the UK for 2 months - and it was actually suggested to me by one of the insurance companies!
