Default Car Insurance in the UK

We're back in the uk for 9 weeks, living in a property we still have there & using a car we own there.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting car insurance quotes for the 9 weeks?
We both have fulll uk driving licences but assuming this will classed as holiday cover - although might be cheaper to pay for a year!!
Any advice much appreciated

Can't you just buy an annual policy, pay monthly and then cancel the policy when you no longer need it?

Cheers

The policy may be invalid if you are found to not be a resident
