Default car insurance,no claims certificate

hi, i know there is already a thread answering this but cant find it,
how much does it help out, to take this with you ??
and how does the system work out in oz , as in what price brackets etc, do they use if you get what i mean ?

Take it with you... We got full no claims discount when we applied to AAMI without proving it, but were told that they might request to see it if we needed to make a claim...

I got given rating 1 for life (full protected no claims basically) and didnt have to prove anything

Get a letter from the insurer confirming the no-claim record. An old certificate doesn't prove anything.

We were given full no claims without having to produce any evidence. Also, the car insurance here is far cheaper than what we were paying in the UK which was a nice surprise!
