Does anyone know if you can carry your no claims motor insurance from a UK policy to an Australian policy?

Just fill in X years no claims on application. They don't ask to see proof, until you have a prang most probably. Well they've never asked us.

Yes its just like here, tell them how many years you have and they usually take your word for it, I guess they know that if you lie and then try to claim they dont pay out anyway if you cant produce the proof.

When we first arrived, we actually asked our insurance company if they carry over no claims from the UK and they said yes.

Apparently not the same going the other way
