Default Car Insurance

Wife and I both fully comp. She managed to drive into my car nicely parked in the garage. Allianz are making us both pay excess and lose NCB due to some small print in the PDS stating clearly that no cover is extended to accidents involving spouses!
Unbelievable!
Anyone else heard of such a clause? Allianz (and the Ombudsman) said its in most policies here.

Yes - they told me that on the phone - apprently very common for spouse to drive into a tree, get home, arrange crash with spouse and get both cars repaired by insurance. Never heard of that clause before. Very annoying.

Yes - bloody termites. Attacked twice but all under control now with "bait traps" placed around perimeter and usual treatments

Its strange to penalise everyone for the wrongdoings of a few though.

Please don't rely on termite baits and treatments, keep a very close eye on possible problem areas in the house. Believe me these things are less than 100% effective, not wanting to worry you but just want you to realise that they are very clever little things and will often avoid baits often actually by accident. Just be vigilant.
