Default Car Insurance

I'm sure this has been asked a few times, but I tried the search facility and my 'puter hung up. We've just bought a car to replace the old (not so, anymore) reliable Beast, and I need to get insurance by Wednesday, with a certificate to prove it!

I've looked for a comparison website, but can't find one. Does anyone know where to start looking? We have insurance with commonwealth at the moment, as we got it in a rush, but I'd like to do a bit more research this time round.

Any tips?
