Default Car Hire from Perth Airport

Hello, we're looking to hire a car for a couple of weeks, there'll be 5 of us in one and 2 in the other. We want a fairly big car for the 5 of us so we're comfortable (4 adults 1 child) - anyone got any recommendations? We want to pick it up at Perth Airport and drop it back off there.

Thanks

Try www.northsiderentals.com

Best we have ever used.......also recommend them to many of our clients.
Not sure if they arrange airport pick up, but they are situated at Balcatta

I have done it twice. Reserve with BUDGET via the internet and pick up the car from the airport. No problems at all.

You can get a Toyota Prado 4x4 for about $1600 for 14 days. The Prado is an 8 seater and is comfortable. You could also get the Toyota Land Cruiser for the same price but that comes with a 4.7 litre V8 engine and you will be spending all of your money on fuel. The Prado is a 4.0 litre V6. If driving a 4x4 is not your thing, the Toyota Tarago is an 8 seater and you can get that for $1800 for 14 days. If your second car is of a decent size you will fit all of your luggage into it too if you are touring. Mitsubishi 380 is a good car ($840 for 14 days) or the Toyota RAV4 ($1450). You can get 5 people into the Prado and Tarago without using the rearmost seats but you may not get luggage for 5 people in. This is from Perth Airport with Thrifty (www.thrifty.com.au). Remember these are in AUD$ so you can convert to £ on www.xe.com.

Hope this is helpful to you. As you can probably tell I work for a Toyota Dealer!!

It's going to be difficult for us if we don't get it from the airport and drop it off there - unless the car hire companies outside of the airport do airport transfers

Why don't you email for a few quotes from ones based in the airport and the others. Then if there is a big difference maybe you could get a taxi to the car hire place instead.

Thrifty are not far from the airport so it won't cost much in a taxi!
We used them when we got here (hubby's company paid for it) if they ask you about the map I forgot to put back in the Rav 4 will you deny any knowledge!

You mean Bayswater Car Rentals. ("No Birds" is their slogan.)

I highly recommend them. Have used them before, and would do so again.

Hi again.

We were in the same position.
We got an airport transfer to the hotel via travel agent which was around £20.00 for 4 of us (it was quite quick and only took around half an hour). I am glad we never picked up the car at the airport as we were very tired and it was late and dark and would have had to navigate the map.

I used thrifty and booked online before we went. Everything was perfect and we picked up the car in the city depot and dropped it off at the airport, airport pick ups usually are an additional cost and ours worked out another £60.00 to hire from the airport.

I am rambling on but think about how tired you will be e.t.c.
We stayed in Adelaide Terrace in cbd initially and had we known about things we would have left the car hire until we got there - no birds, thrifty, car 2000, europcar e.t.c were all within walking distance of hotel - cheers James.
