Car hire in Melbourne: cheaper if booked in UK or locally?
I'm trying to sort out car hire for some friends visiting us in Melbourne at Xmas. Can anyone tell me if, these days, it's cheaper to book the car hire from the UK, or direct via one of the rental firms here?
TIA for any help!
Cheers

we rented with Thrifty and got a free upgrade on arrival. I think it was $43 per day and ended up with a Mitsubishi Magna.
