Car Hire - Brisbane Area
 

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a cheap car hire company in the Brisbane area.

Arriving in Bris on the 14 Feb , 2 adults, 2 children, ideally pick up from the airport and return 9 days later.

try www.rentnewcars.com.au they are often recommended. we are using www.budget.com.au
Avis and Hertz are also at Brissie airport most of them do one way rentals as well. We are picking up at Brissie and returning to Caloundra.

You should be able to get a car for about $50/day from any of these for something like a Falcon - note that anything you hire will be an automatic. Consider paying the extra to reduce the insurance excess which is usually something like $2500.

Just checked on Hertz and a Falcon will cost you $300 for a week, not bad with your sterling.

we used ariel - but I have not got a link for them - you should be able to find them on a search though. They promise to be the cheapest!

I work for Europcar and would recommend the new falcon. The air-con is superior to a magna and its RWD which means you can go sideways by booting it. Enjoy

P.S. By going with Europcar you can have the car checked by a detailer when returning to put your mind at rest they aren't FLEECING you:D

We used rolo car rental, excellent service and very reasonable. Brought the car to the airport for us and waited for us to arrive.
