Can anyone recommend car hire in the Cairns area, cheaper than $45 a day? Just a basic little run about for 2 or 3 weeks for my M-I-L. I recently hired one from Mini car hire and all up it was almost $260 for 3 days hire ( little 2 door) with the extra insurances added on...Thanks.

hey leigh. my mate damian owns cairns older car and ute hire. he will do you a good deal and the cars are all pretty much post 2000. just tell him your a local.
