Question Car finance

Hello one and all.

Looking for a bit of advice. Loveable car is about to pack in and we need a reliable motor pronto. Will need to finance it. Question is do we get the finance from the car company (would never dream of this in UK) or go to the bank? Anyone any experience / input?

Cheers

Ginny

Default Re: Car finance

If it's anything like the uk - check the APR figures between banks (do you have price comparison websites over there?). Car dealers will always offer you a high rate initially and then negotiate the APR downwards...

Also, bear in mind that in the UK dealers often quote a 'flat rate' this sounds tempting as a 'flat rate' of say 3.5% equates to around 12% apr - so not such a good deal after all!!

Make sure you're quoted the APR
