Car advise request
 

We're new to the site so apologies up front if this is covered elsewhere.

I have my driving test in December (Auto) and I'm looking for a cheap to insure car ( I am 34). I'll only do low mileage and aim to spend less than $7k on the car. I'm not a car nut so don't really care what car / model I buy.

Any ideas on a cost effective car to insure / low-cost insurers / or a good comparison website?

As we are newcomers we have no idea, so all advice would be much appreciated.
