Arriving in Canberra on July 1st anyone any experience or recomendations for good agents for rental property. i look on allhomes all the time so know whats out there and the prices just wondered if anyone had a particularly good/bad experience with any. bearing in mind i will not have a job when i first arrive looking for 4 bed house by the way around $450 a week

Peter Blackshaw is the one who puffs himself off as being cream of the crop but none of them are horribly awful as far as I can gather (they are all estate agents so you know what you are signing up for!). allhomes is where you are going to find it unless you get up with the lark on a Saturday morning and go for one of the private rentals advertised in the Canberra Slimes (oops that should be Times). My boss got hers through Elders I think and they were fine - quick with chasing up references etc. I think people have more to complain about if they are selling rather than renting.
