You can drink tap water anywhere is Australia - whether you will like the taste is a different matter.

Of course you can. I have a built in water filter in my benchtop though. I had a water filter in the UK and here is no different.

You're only supposed to drink a glass at a time, not 40,000 litres

I think that some parts of Perth have more groundwater content, which affects the taste, than others. However, it seems that all Perth water is safe, so it comes down to taste for individual locations.

ITs not a third world city. l bet if the water is tested it would be heaps cleaner then the UK as Perth has far less pollution.

You can but it does not taste good. A fridge with a water dispenser sorts this out.

No. Everyone I have ever met who drank Perth water died. Instantly. Don't do it!

Ours doesn't, it tastes of a mixture of rain, roof, gutter, tank and pipes.

Maybe some leaf in there too if we have been tardy.

And it's not done me any harm ... yet :D
