well will the aircraft allow acetone? isn't it a dangerous liquid and can cause plane corrosion etc?
they sell acetone here, i bought some for the paint i wanted to remove. if you have a huge stock may be worth selling/giving them away.

Australia, as in the Customs and Quarantine, couldn't care less about you bringing that stuff in - the airline won't allow you to have them because of the fire risk.
Banned ItemsThe following items are completely banned from aircraft, and should not be brought to the airport:
Flammable Items: Gasoline, gas torches, lighter fluid, cooking fuel, other types of flammable liquid fuel, flammable paints, paint thinner, turpentine, aerosols
Acetone definitely comes into this category.

What does a beauty therapist use acetone for? In the hands of a chemist who has a fume cupboard, it is fairly tame stuff. But the general public should not be using it or exposed to it, e.g.:
"Pregnant women should avoid contact with acetone and acetone fumes in order to avoid the possibility of birth defects, which include brain damage."

i think you need to declare dangerous goods when shipping. the plane/ship carrying your stuff could catch fire under certain conditions.

Inside a container can get very hot if it happens to be exposed directly to the sun on the ship's deck. Would your insurance cover any damage caused by acetone?
Why not just throw your acetone away and get some more here?
