Can I get a visa
Hi,
I am in the early stages of considering a move to Aus with my girlfriend and son. I have 12 years IT experience so should be in a good position. The issue I have is that when I was 19 (10 years ago) I got charged with 'causing an affray' and had to carry out community service. Does anybody know what effect this will have on my application? Thanks |
Re: Can I get a visa
You need to declare the conviction (even if it is spent under UK legislation) but a
single event like that 10 years ago is unlikely to cause any problems. Re: Can I get a visa
Thanks.
Does anybody know how I can get this confirmed. I don't want to spend time and money on my application if this is going to be a problem. |
Re: Can I get a visa
I don't think anyone will be able to say as an absolute nailed-on certainity that it won't be a problem but its VERY unlikely to be one.
A one off incident a long time ago, honestly declared is unlikely to mean that your a menace to the Australian public ! BTW, the bloke who answered your post (Jaj) is an emigration consultant, so he knows about this kind of thing. Cheers GW |
