Campsites along the way? Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast
Hi,
We have a campervan hired from the 13th November Until the 19th November our pick up and drop off locations are both Brisbane.
We plan on seeing as much as we can in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, Noosa and Fraiser Island...anyone got any recommendations as to where to go, where to avoid..
also is there anywhere or anyone that can advise me on places to park the camper...and recharge/clean as and when neccessary..anywhere along my routes and how much are the charges at camper-parks?
Thanks for all your help!

Check out the Big4 sites. There's a good one just south of Brissie near the gateway. From memory the smaller ones on the GC are quite expensive for not a great deal. No idea about North of Brissie.

In Maroochydore you should stay at the Maroochy Palms park. Right next to the river and close to everything as well

In realation to places to visit
Australia Zoo
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - http://www.currumbin-sanctuary.org.au
There are a few theme parks too if you have kids.
Surfers Paradise is a must.
Sunshine Coast is all nice
There are service stations all around the area that you can refuel.
Charges vary from campsite to campite and which season it is. I think we paid on average between $20 and $28 a night but that was in may
Hope this helps

Rainbow beach does have some campsites that are not 4X4 you just have to get there early. We have stayed there a few times in a normal car.
Also with a big4 campsites they have "ensuite" sites, for a few bucks more, which means you can park your van right next to your own loo. its great, and it means that you don't have to use your van loo, which you then have to clean. Most sites will be about the 30 buck mark per night, but some cheaper some dearer depending on facilities.
Government managed sites (like rainbow) are much cheaper, but then there are only 'natural' facilities!
