Default Campervan and kids question

Hi there,

I was wondering whether anyone out there could help us. We are due to go out to Oz next June for a validation of visas trip. There will be my Hubby, and two children who will be 5 and 2 at the time. We are staying with friends in Sydney for a week then hope to hire a campervan/motorhome for around three weeks to have a good look around.

Has anyone else travelled this way with kids? Do they accomadate child seats? Do they supply you with child seats? Anyone any reccomendation of companies, we'll be starting off from Sydney?

Anybody with any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Default Campervan and kids question

Hi Ginny,
Here are some motorhome rental companies in Sydney why do you just e-mail
them a Dear Madam/Sir letter and ask them. you don't need to write any more
than 1 letter and send to them all.

Here is the one I am using for my trip after a year of searching and
comparing; go to them direct with your questions

Ask for Terry, he has been really attentive and helpful with my rental.

I cannot tell you about companies from which to hire but the N.R.M.A.( the
motor association in Sydney) would be able to help and in February there
would be no need to book ahead as the school holidays are over by then.

Tharvelling this way with children is no problem - I have done it many times
with children in your childrens age group and the van parks usually have
childrens areas which are great for the little ones and almost all have
swimming pools Have fun and enjoy ! Gwen Kelly Ps do not forget to
visit the Gold Coast and I can recommend the Tallabudgera Caravan Park as an
especially good one - near the beach and on the Tallabudgera Creek also good
for swimming with a sandy beach . It is also the coolest place I can think
of in February as the breeze comes staight up the creek from the beach - and
being the hottest of the summer months you will appreciate this breeze. I
have stayed there many times. Gwen

We have traveled this way with our kids as well and in my opinion it is the
very best way to travel with kids as long as you don't spend every day
driving.
