Default Calling Holistic Therapists

My OH (Claire) is and has been studying Indian Head, Reiki, Hopi and
the like and we were wondering what the market in Australia is like
for holistic therapies.
Have any of you any knowledge of this area either as a practitioner or
as a recipient in Australia.
I have done a search but not really managed to dig up too much info.
It would be good to get some info from the horses mouth so to speak.
Not to infer that any of you resemble a horse..........or pony.

if your looking at the larger cities then your just coming in at teh right time... there are few n far between holistic centres around and those that are seem on the hole to be attached to beauty salons n the like.....
yes a mass generlisation i know but all the same still true...

personally id say go for it... might be a slow start but will take off....
the only thing ive noticed is that if someone see a good idea and it works everyone jumps on the bandwagon and kills it..... :-/

Thanks for your reply laidbackfreak

Claire has been on the phone to her sis in Perth asking what
she knew. She from what she said it was fairly expensive
compared to the UK.
We're not really heading for the big smoke but further out
and on the east coast.
More limited I know.
We were thinking that if we located near to a reasonable
sized resort she could get some work there as there seems
to be quite a few retreats/spa's.

real opportunites lie there i feel...... imho id say go for it even in romote (tho not TOO remote) locations

Ahhh. Nuff said.
That just leaves me to wish you all the best and
I hope to hear you're doing a storm further down the line.

I'm going to trade this info with the OH for an Indian Nut Rub.

PS. Nut as in Head

Scotty.
