The best one depends how long you spend on the phone really. Some are 2.5c per minute, with no connection charge, others are 1.5c per minute but with a 49c connection charge......meaning that unless you spend 49 minutes on the phone each time it's better to go for the one with the higher rate..............

I was just looking at the stop'n'talk cards.
Rate/Minute aus$0.003
Connection Fee aus$0.99
But, after 10 minutes it goes up to 3.6c
and the cards expire in 6 months
and you need to dial either a Sydney number, OK if you live in Sydney, or a 1300 number at an extra 6c per minute.

Local call charge apply to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Townsville, Cairns, Darwin, Wollongong, Hobart and Geelong (Local call or mobile phone charge may applies).
Does this mean that while you are on the phone you pay for the local call + the 0.5c / minute?
what is the local call rate off peak in Melbourne?
thanks

After trying out quite a few, Daybreak seems to last longest & be cheapest for us. Also when the lines are really busy at the weekend you can still get through pretty quickly whereas with others it can take forever.
