Calling all you Experts For some Advice!!
We have a friend who is desperate to emigrate to Australia, but he can only get 95 points. He is a Business Consultant/Sales Manager/Project Manager type role but because he doesnt have a degree the points he gets for his job are not very good. Although he has done this work for over 14 years now!!
Anyway I had heard about these visas at the moment where if you agree to live in a designated area for a period of time you dont need so many points?? Anyone got any ideas on this one??
Can anyone give us some help/advice/ideas on what his next move should be in order for him to be able to get out to Oz.
Seems crazy to us that they are calling out for people to move out there and here we have a self sufficient family of 4, both parents worked hard all their lives, have plenty of equity in their house and would be able to buy without a mortgage in Oz and the system it appears is saying they cant go!!
Also would like details of any Consultants that help out the harder cases, the consultant we are using seems to only like straight forward cases, fortunatly we are one of those!!

Take a look at the DIMIA website and try finding the details for the STNI (State / Territory Nominated Independent) Visa.

Not sure what his consultancy is or is he's self employed ect but what about the setting up a business route?
