calling all nurses in oz
Good morning everyone,
ive been asked by a friend who has just started training as a psychiatric nurse whether after her traing has finished will she have to have so many years experience before she can be accepted under the nurses skilled visa.
she is a bit desperate as several years ago she spent 2 years training to be a hairdresser at night school, then was later told that the training she received is not regonised by tra.
any information from you all will be appreciated.

She would need to have at least a year's experience as I understand it.

your friend will need at least 12 out of 18 months prior to the visa in nursing.however she could go the sponsored 4 year visa with an oz hospital and get the experience in oz and from there apply for PR,although it may still be diificult to secure a position without post reg experience.
good luck to them
