Hi Ryan,
When you get to Oz where ever you are there will be somewhere close by that does the blue card training course. The blue card is a standard health and safety course that everyone has to do to work on sites in oz. Its a 4 hour course and you can not fail it, they talk through every question and give you the answers, cost $77.00.
The business course is if you want to be self-employed or run a business, its $350 and takes 2 days, first day covers health and safety and how to run and maintain sites. Second day is more of the paperwork side of things you will need to know. In the grand scheme of things in coming over here and getting started its not much really. You will also have to have your trade recognised and get a license, same again everyone has to do it and its not hard, fill in a couple of forms, show your experience, either references or certificates and away you go.
Money earnt and what hours depends on how hard you work, where you are working etc, its like working in London the rates are higher, out of the cities the rates will be a little bit lower.
Search Master Builders in Australia and there will be links to the different states then the different locations within the states. Loads of them.

Any one out there of a frim who will sponser me? I am a plasterer withn 22 years experience and have just been let down ny INNALOO plasterers who said they would sponser me, contracts signed and everything now they have changed they mind, I am gutted any help would be great

As a plasterer with 22 years experience you should have no problem getting out here under your own points. If you get sponsored you are tied to that company and they might not be who you want to work for.
You can get your trade recognised even if you dont have formal qualifications that are good enough to get you over here.
A company called ACTS Australian Construction Training Services have started to train people in the UK so that when they get here they are qualified to start work straight away and the qualifications are also recognised by vetasses and TRA.

In Brisbane standard rates for fibrous plasterers is $40 per hour. Fact.
You are expected to do 9 hours a day so $360.00 per day. Saturdays if you want them and extra hours in the week if you want them.
