Most of the ones in Cairns are either outside or you get a key to access the "corridor" with them in. I dont know where you'r ending up but we took one at Smithfield PO, I know you can access that one 24/7 its quite easy to get to (unless you decide to live in Gordonvale!) and its with a major shopping centre....Coles Woolys KMart etc so you can do your shopping at the same time (but not out of hours....none of those 24hour Teco's here!)

All will be revealed here Kaye.....

Haven't read it all but suspect you'll need an Aus address and present ID so can't do it until you're here.

Depends what you are looking for..wotif.com have some great deals but they are at nightly rates..are you looking for something to rent on a monthly basis..it will prob be quite pricey.. i did notice a few short term lets on realestate for 3-6 months..but they are few and far between and as I have found out go very quickly! I will have a look later as have been looking at internet for ages and searched same type of property myself a few months ago. Will get back to youif find a good site....is it very short term you are looking for?

Hi Youngy its literally only by days we can always stay in a hotel or something til you go if you are seriously thinking of possibly letting us have it. We are leaving after or around the 9th but we have to validate by 16th.

How much would you charge it would be fantastic if you would trust us to rent it, we are very trustworthy.

Kaye

Here's a bunch of websites for accomodation.....

http://www.cairnsconnect.com/
http://thetourspecialists.com/accommodation-cairns.html
http://www.cairnsholiday.com/
http://cityofcairns.com/cairnsaccommodation/
http://www.cairnsweb.com.au/cairns_a...on/default.asp
http://www.cairnsinfo.com/cairns-accommodation.php

Some of the resort type places do offer medium term rates that are not advertised on the websites. Only way to find out is to contact them. It's a bit of you don't ask you don't get type thing. Depends on how their business is going I guess.

Have a look at Southern Cross. They have pretty good facilities and are in a good location for your criteria. Bloke in work stayed there for a few weeks and said it was pretty good. Check with Fraser as he also stayed there a while ago.

Also ask Sophjam about where she stayed on the Esplanade.

we are considering it. we are currently building and have heaps of stuff in the house and have been asking around for a house sitter whilst we are not here. the wifes a cop and gets all paranoid about "the bad people" whereas im a little more trusting. i will discuss it with her but wed only be looking for the rent to be covered and the place to be left clean and tidy. by the way weve only got 2 queen beds at the moment and 1 bedroom is full of sofas and the other used as a study.
