Cairns for brickies
Can anyone help.
Looking to go to Cairns, and wondered if there was work for bricklayers ?

kev, building is going through a huge boom all over Australia, I would have thought that brickies would have been in demand no matter where they go. Theres currently about a 12 month wait for a new house, both for the labour & the materials.
Im sure that the situation is similar in Cairns, the only difference may possibly be that alot of houses in North Queensland are made of wood. Probably the only way to find out would be to call some employers up there.
Im going up that way at Xmas time, but not planning on doing any bricklaying
