Caffreys anyone?
Anyone know what's happened to Caffreys? when I first arrived in Perth about 3 years ago most of the irish pubs had it on tap, you could suffer it in cans from the bottle shop, Nowdays you cant get it anywhere
I assume its still being made and you can get it in the UK/Ireland etc?

Renth is correct though it's over rated piss, not a patch on Guinness. I'll have to disagree re the Boddingtons though that's not a bad drop if you stear clear of the pub style bitter they sell in cans here.

I live just next to Rosie O'Grady's in South Perth.
It's became my "local" & I know the bar manager pretty well.
Just last week he was talking about Caffreys as well. He told me that the same people ship Caffreys & Kilkenny over to Oz, but from now on they're only sending over Kilkenny. Caffreys is being phased out of the export market.
I used to drink Caffreys when I lived in Scotland, but Rosie's have just got a Little Creatures tap put in. Good news for me! I love the stuff!
Cheers.... John...

In the UK a year or so ago they changed it to be pi55 weak like many other beers because "allegedly" customers complained it was too strong. I don't know whether that led to the decision in any way.
