Byron Bay Blues festival 2013
 

Advice please. Is it too late to even consider this? If anyone is going, or has been to this fesitival, any advice regarding accommodation would be appreciated. Is camping the best option? Where would be best to look for hotel accommodation (if any is left!)?

bluesfest is great. we have been to the past four and now just get the early bird tix no matter who is playing (works out about 40% cheaper). Never had to camp as we are just a 15 min drive away but most people get accommodation in or around byron and use the free shuttle bus to the site. Camping on the festival site is quite expensive and there is a lack of services (site is on a farm 10 min drive up the highway from Byron)...plus i dont think alcohol is aloud in the camping area so your stuck with expensive festival food and drink prices for the duration of your stay.

If you cant get accommodation in Byron but dont mind driving to the festival each day then other options include camping at Brunswick, Ocean Shores, Pottsville Beach and Hastings point.
