We are due to fly out to Brisbane on the 2nd of Jan and know exactly what you mean about the rollercoaster ride, we are having our last goodbye meal with family tomorrow and I know that will be quite hard but we so excited about our new life - 2 days to go :D

Ah thanks everyone for your best wishes, well we are nearly there, we stopped over in Singapore for the night to break up the journey but none of us could sleep so weve come to the airport early to look at the shops instead!LOL. Nothing could possibly prepare me for the goodbyes especially one to my parents, I cried like I haven't cried in years and to say that i was in a state when i got to the airport was an understatment that i could have quite easily gone back home!!! but at least i slept on the aeroplane and now feel a bit better. Keep wondering what the hell we are doing but know deep down were doing it for a better life for us and the kids. Talk about rollercoaster ride, best of luck to all who are making the journey soon and look forward to meeting all the expats in oz soon. take care and best wishes to you all Jo x
