buying toner/ink online
Just wondering if anyone buys their replacement toner cartridges online. If so, where from and do they last?
Usually get the genuine epson ones but they are so expensive! Don't want to get the cheaper ones if they don't last tho' - false economy or what.

The reason they are so expensive is that you are buying a name brand, which has probably the same quality stuff in them as the generic brands. How long they last, will depend on how much you use them and what you use them for. As for buying them online, why bother, any savings, if any, will be eaten up by the delivery costs.

Have seen generic ones for about 1/4 of the cost - might just have a go.

I pay $3 for generic Canon compatible cartridges that work every bit as well as the name brand article. I also buy generic laser toner cartridges at $30 a pop rather than $90. You'd have to be bonkers to buy the real ones.
